Leaf Vacuuming & Street Cleaning

Village streets are cleaned in the late Fall. The Village arranges with an independent contractor to provide this service. Residents are advised of upcoming street cleaning  dates via email and monthly newsletter in advance. Residents are requested to move their vehicles off the streets as much as possible when cleaning and vacuum is scheduled so that the workers can clean more thoroughly. 

The Village also provides leaf vacuuming service for residents. Residents who wish to partake in this service are asked to rake their leaves as close to the curb as possible without putting them in the roadway gutter (see picture below). Please inform your landscape crews of this requirement. Should it rain, leaves piled in the gutter will dam the water causing it to puddle. Please avoid boxing in poles of leaves between cars both for easier accessibility for the collection crew, and the safety of your vehicles. 

Of note, the Village will schedule these services concurrently whenever practicable.
